Structured day programmes are available, which incorporate therapeutic activities for a more complete treatment programme.

The other centre for drug detox in Cardiff is a specialist centre for women aged 16 or over and their children. It’s a residential facility, and the programme lasts between six and 12 months. No alcohol or drug use is permitted whilst in treatment, and there are twice weekly (witnessed) urine tests. Psychological treatment is offered through counselling and a structured day programme. Inpatient detoxification is supervised by medical staff as part of the main residential programme.
